[i got together with the elegant stylist, ashley hausch to shoot this classy ensemble featuring a silk jacket from the 1930s that she thrifted in tucson, arizona. she paired it with a cream turtleneck, mauve silk palazzo pants and a pair of kitten heels from england. creating an elegant ensemble is both classical and crisp.]
[ashley has been passionate about fashion for as long as she remembers. something she said stuck with me, “fashion is the most accessible form of art for any human being to partake in.”]
[the silk silhouette, soft effect of natural roses and poses, and the location carried the vibe of this shoot — vintage, natural, and mysterious..]
[we shot at lakewood cemetery in minnesota, creating an early hollywood, lana del rey-esque sense of darkness that was quite intentional.]
[style swoons over beauty and nature. this vintage silk composite and the roses don’t fall short of creating a space between reality and fantasy.]
[her independent spirit shines through as she worked this look, and it made me feel an irresistible combination of grace and strength.]
[runways have showcased a tremendous amount of nature lately – so chic yet so raw.]
[keeping with that trend, i called this shoot “he loves me, he loves me not,” referencing the game of french origin, in which people seek to determine whether the object of their affection returns that affection with the pulling of rose petals.]
[all together with ashley’s poise, the style’s feel, and the dark storyline behind it all, i would say this fashion editorial was a success.]

[this girl is simply amazing]
